How to Apply for Legalization
2012-07-07 07:19

Legalization is the official confirmation that a signature, seal or stamp on a document is genuine. Having a document legalized doesn't mean that its contents are accurate, and it doesn't carry any sort of official approval by the Embassy.

If you are going to use a BiH document in mainland China, the document should be legalized by the Embassy after being notarized by the BiH Notary Public and legalized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs BiH.

The applicants for legalization should submit the following documents:

1. One completed Notarization / Legalization Application Form signed by the applicant.

2. The original document which has been notarized by the BiH Notary Public and legalized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of BiH and its complete copy.

3. 1) For BiH citizens: Applicant's passport and a copy of passport data page, or applicant's BiH ID card and a copy.

   2) For others: Applicant's passport, a copy of passport data page and valid residence permit.

4. Other documents concering the legalization or required by the consular officer.
