On March 22, Ambassador Chen Bo visited the Central Bank of BiH and met with Governor Senad Softić.
Chen Bo noted that relations between China and BiH are developing steadily, and economic and trade cooperation is constantly increasing. It is necessary to improve cooperation in the field of finance, in order to provide support for cooperation between the two countries in all areas. The Embassy of China in BiH is ready to play the role of a bridge for a more intensive cooperation between the two countries’ financial institutions. She expressed expectation that the Central Bank of BiH would be a leader in the process of cooperation of Chinese financial institutions with BiH.
Softić presented basic information on the Central Bank of BiH and the state of macro-economy in BiH. He expressed readiness for creation of a safer and more stable financial environment for foreign investors, including the Chinese. He stressed the readiness of the Central Bank of BiH to act as a leader in BiH’s financial cooperation with China and support BiH financial institutions in carrying out more versatile practical cooperation with the Chinese side.
Chen Bo briefed Softić about the “Two Sessions”, with a focus on policies in finances and the state of macro economy.
