On May 8, Deputy Chairman of the Parliamentary Assembly of BiH Safet Softić met with Vice President of the Chinese Association for International Understanding (CAIFU) Ai Ping, who paid an official visit to Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Softić welcomed the delegation of CAIFU, led by Vice President Ai Ping, and stated that relations between BiH and China, within the “Belt and Road” Initiative, are developing rapidly, with advancement of cooperation in all areas. BiH attaches great importance to development of relations with China and is ready to commit to constant deepening of mutual understanding between the two peoples, promoting cooperation in fields such as economy and trade.
Ai Ping gave a high assessment for positive participation of the BiH side in the Initiative “Belt and Road”. He informed the interlocutors on the network of non-governmental organizations along the Silk Road. He said that the aim of the visit is to deepen cooperation with non-governmental organizations in BiH, strengthening friendship between the two peoples, which creates a good social basis for cooperation in the joint construction of the “Belt and Road”. China is a country with a long history, and BiH has a specific civilization. Ai Ping highlighted the deep friendship of the two peoples, and expressed assurance that there is more room for cooperation in the field of human connectivity.
