On 21 May, Ambassador Chen Bo met with Mayor of the City of Sarajevo Abdulah Skaka. The two sides agreed that the upcoming entry into force of the China-BiH visa exemption agreement for ordinary passport holders will give impetus to the bilateral relations. As a city of historical and cultural importance, Sarajevo should seize the opportunity, by better promoting its tourism resources and better preparing itself for the visits of more Chinese travellers. Endowed with rich winter sports resources, Sarajevo can become a focal point in China-BiH tourism and sports cooperation.

       The two sides also exchanged views on Sarajevo's participation in 16+1 cooperation and more regular exchanges between Sarajevo and Tianjin, its sister city in China.
