On May 14, the China-Bosnia and Herzegovina Friendship Association and the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina, co-hosted a conference marking the 30th anniversary of the establishment of China-Bosnia and Herzegovina diplomatic relations. The event was attended by Ambassador Li Fan, Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives and Head of the Asia Friendship Group , Mr. Marinko Čavara, Speaker of the House of Peoples, Mr. Nikola Špirić, and Minister of Communications and Transport, Mr. Edin Forto, along with over 130 distinguished guests. Participants engaged in vibrant discussions on topics including political mutual trust, Belt and Road Initiative cooperation, and people-to-people exchanges.

Ambassador Li stated that China and Bosnia and Herzegovina have developed bilateral relations based on the principles of equality, mutual respect, and win-win cooperation, truly living out the saying:“a friend in need is a friend indeed.”The guests expressed appreciation for China’s support for equality among all ethnic groups in the country and reiterated their firm adherence to the One-China principle, emphasizing Bosnia and Herzegovina’s readiness to deepen friendship with China.

In the evening, the Chinese Embassy hosted a film reception attended by diplomatic corps and representatives from various fields of BiH. The “China Day” events received wide coverage in BiH media, further strengthening the friendship between the two countries.
