On May 4, Minister of Foreign Affairs of BiH Igor Crnadak met with Ambassador Chen Bo. Chen Bo handed to the Minister a Note on the date of entry into force of the Agreement on Visa Exemption for Holders of Ordinary Passports between the Government of the People’s Republic of China and the Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina. The two sides confirmed that the above-mentioned Agreement will enter into force on May 29, 2018.
Chen Bo said that the signing and entry into force of the Agreement, which will significantly facilitate people-to-people exchanges between China and BiH and improve development of cooperation in all areas, is a major event in bilateral relations between the two countries. Chen Bo gave high assessment for the fact that BiH leaders and Minister Crnadak personally attached attention and gave contribution during negotiation of the Agreement. She voiced satisfaction with the efforts made by the relevant institutions for the Agreement to become effective as soon as possible.
Crnadak noted that the signing of this Agreement was a legal decision of the BiH Council of Ministers and the Government of China. He expressed assurance that the Agreement would strongly advance cooperation between the two countries in various areas, such as economy, trade, culture and tourism, so that relations between the two countries see strong progress.

The above-mentioned Agreement was signed by State Councilor and Foreign Minister of China Wang Yi and Foreign Minister of BiH Igor Crnadak, during the 6th Summit of China and Central and Eastern European Countries on 27th of November 2017 in Budapest.
