To further facilitate applicants for visas to China, from now until December 31, 2026, the Embassy will waive fingerprint collection for all applicants applying for short-term visas with a stay of no more than 180 days.

For applicants applying for D, J1, Q1, S1, X1, and Z visas, which require the holder to apply for a residence permit after entry into China, fingerprint collection will continue to be conducted in accordance with existing regulations.
