On June 16, Ambassador Li Fan met with the mayor of Mostar Mr. Mario Kordić.

Ambassador Li stated that Mostar left a deep impression on her, describing it as a city rich in history and culture, and a must-visit landmark for Chinese tourists traveling to Bosnia and Herzegovina. For a long time, Mostar has maintained friendly exchanges with Chinese cities such as Yinchuan, making active contributions to the development of bilateral relations. This year marks the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic ties between China and Bosnia and Herzegovina. The Chinese Embassy is willing to continue serving as a bridge to promote broader local exchanges and cooperation between Mostar and China, fostering closer people-to-people ties.
Mayor Kordić welcomed Ambassador Li’s visit to Mostar, noting that the city boasts rich tourism resources and expressing hope to welcome more Chinese visitors. He highlighted the Mostar International Fair as a key regional economic and trade forum and encouraged more Chinese companies to participate and invest in Mostar. Mostar will continue to strengthen cooperation with Chinese localities and explore the potential for collaboration in trade, education, and culture.
