On June 17, Ambassador Li Fan met with the Director of the Service for Foreigners’Affairs of Bosnia and Herzegovina Mr. Žarko Laketa.

Ambassador Li noted that bilateral relations are currently developing steadily and healthily, with frequent exchanges between the two countries in areas such as economy, trade, and tourism. She thanked the Service for Foreigners’ Affairs for its support and assistance to Chinese enterprises and citizens working and living in Bosnia and Herzegovina. This year marks the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic ties between China and BiH, we hope to further strengthen law enforcement exchanges and cooperation between the two sides, and jointly promote people-to-people exchanges and broader cooperation.

Director Laketa stated that the SPS has long maintained good cooperation with the Chinese side. He noted that BiH is currently facing challenges such as illegal immigration and expressed readiness to enhance exchanges and cooperation between the two countries’ law enforcement agencies, jointly combat cross-border smuggling activities, and safeguard the order of international people-to-people exchanges.
