On October 14, Ambassador Li Fan met with the Vice-Chairman of the Council of Ministers of BiH and Minister of Foreign Trade and Economic Relations Mr. Staša Košarac. The two sides exchanged views on the UN General Assembly Resolution 2758 and the China-BiH relations.

Ambassador Li emphasized that the Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs recently released China’s Position Paper on UN General Assembly Resolution 2758, which resolved once and for all the question of the representation of the whole of China, including Taiwan, in the U.N., as a political, legal and procedural issue. The resolution brooks no challenge to its legitimacy, validity, and authority. She thanked the BiH side for its firm adherence to the one-China principle.

Ambassador Li noted that on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the establishment of China-BiH diplomatic relations, Minister Košarac’s successful visit to China and participation in the 4th China–CEEC Expo injected new momentum into bilateral ties. She expressed hope that the two sides would further strengthen practical cooperation in infrastructure development, new energy, and other areas.

Minister Košarac reaffirmed Bosnia and Herzegovina’s commitment to the one-China principle, expressed readiness to further enhance cooperation with China in the economic and trade fields, and welcomed more Chinese enterprises to invest and operate in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
