On April 8, Ambassador Li Fan met with Mr. Bakir Izetbegović, President of the Party of Democratic Action (SDA) of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Ambassador Li noted that inter-party exchanges constitute an important component of cooperation between China and BiH. China stands ready to further deepen exchanges between the Communist Party of China and the SDA, enhance personnel exchanges and training cooperation, and elevate bilateral relations to a new level. Ambassador Li also introduced China’s principled position on the situation in the Middle East, emphasizing that China has always upheld an objective, fair, and balanced stance and is committed to promoting a ceasefire and ending hostilities in the region. China, together with Pakistan, has put forward a five-point initiative to build broad international consensus on advancing peace talks.
Mr. Izetbegović spoke highly of China’s fair position and constructive role on Middle East issues. He expressed hope to strengthen inter-party exchanges, promote the development of bilateral relations, and welcomed more Chinese enterprises to invest and do business in Bosnia and Herzegovina. The two sides also exchanged views on the domestic situation in BiH.
