Ambassador Li Fan Attends Promotion Event for Glas Kine Special Issue
2026-04-29 15:13

On April 28, Ambassador Li Fan attended the promotion event for the Glas Kine special issue, which also featured a sharing session by Mr. Borić, President of the China-Bosnia and Herzegovina Friendship Association, on his recent visit to China's Yunnan Province and Chongqing. Ambassador Li engaged in in-depth exchanges with the attendees regarding China's achievements in Chinese-style modernization.

Among those present at the event were Mr. Dejan Jazvić, Editor-in-Chief of the FENA, Mr. Kenan Kešmer, journalist from the "Raport" magazine, and Dorotea Klačar, a sinologist from the University of East Sarajevo, along with representatives from various sectors.

In his remarks, Ambassador Li stated that Mr. Borić's special issue is neither an "exotic travelogue" written by a foreigner driven by curiosity nor a collection of cold, impersonal statistical reports. Rather, it reads like a patient friend, using Mr. Borić's immersive experiences in Yunnan and Chongqing as its narrative thread. It guides readers through authentic slices of life — flower markets, local food factories, wind power farms — to experience the rich and vibrant tapestry of China. Ambassador Li invited attendees to experience Chinese cuisine, noting that China is often called a "gourmet paradise," a claim well-evidenced by the globally renowned documentary A Bite of China; to experience a China where "beauty thrives alongside beauty," with diverse ethnic groups and cultures having coexisted on this land with mutual respect and harmonious growth for millennia; to experience China's green development, where China's wind and solar power generation ranks first in the world, and clean energy is becoming the backdrop of everyday life; to experience a China driven by technological innovation, where from robotics to drones, from AI to quantum computing, innovation is turning science fiction into everyday reality; and to experience a China that stands for fairness and justice, where in the face of the Middle East crisis, China has actively promoted peace talks and called for political dialogue to resolve disputes, hoping to restore a sky of tranquility to the people of the Middle East.

Mr. Borić presented the main contents of his special issue, stating that the publication does not preach grand theories but rather tells stories — stories of the China he has seen and felt with his own eyes and heart. From the flower markets of Yunnan to the hotpot of Chongqing, from Xuanwei ham to wind turbines dotted across urban and rural landscapes, he hopes readers can understand a real, diverse, and dynamic China through these specific people and events.

The attending guests fondly recalled their past visits to China, noting that through Mr. Borić's lens and words, they felt as if they had traveled through Yunnan and Chongqing themselves, experiencing the warm hospitality of the Chinese people and the vibrant vitality of China's development. They expressed their willingness to further promote exchanges and cooperation between China and Bosnia and Herzegovina in the fields of culture, education, and tourism, and to encourage more Bosnians to visit China, thereby fostering closer people-to-people bonds between the two nations.
