On June 10, Ambassador Li Fan visited Novi Grad Municipality of Sarajevo, where she met with Mayor and Party for Bosnia and Herzegovina (SBiH) President Semir Efendić. The two sides jointly visited the Friendship Pavilion donated by the City of Tianjin. During the visit, Ambassador Li also gave an interview to a local television station. Delegate to the House of Peoples of the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina Muamer Smailić attended the event.

Ambassador Li noted that subnational cooperation constitutes an important part of China–Bosnia and Herzegovina relations. She recalled that the City of Sarajevo and the City of Tianjin established a sister-city relationship as early as 1981 and have achieved fruitful results through their cooperation. China stands ready to further deepen exchanges and cooperation between local governments of the two countries, share advanced technologies and experience in areas such as new energy and the green economy, and promote continued progress in bilateral relations.

Mr. Efendić welcomed Ambassador Li's visit to Novi Grad and highly commended the traditional friendship and productive cooperation between Bosnia and Herzegovina and China. He stated that China's development achievements are remarkable and expressed his willingness to further strengthen exchanges with China and expand practical cooperation. He also hoped that more Chinese enterprises would invest in Novi Grad, contributing to local economic and social development.
