On January 25, Ambassador Chen Bo met with Deputy Chairman of the Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Minister of Foreign Trade and Economic Relations Mirko Šarović. They exchanged views on cooperation in the field of trade, tourism and agriculture.
The two sides agreed that cooperation in the field of energy and infrastructure should be particularly improved and cooperation on large projects realized as soon as possible and expanded to new areas, such as innovation and entrepreneurship and assistance in career development of young people, based on the Initiative “Belt and Road” and the platform for cooperation between China and the Central and East European countries. It is necessary to make efforts that the Agreement on Mutual Visa Exemption enters force as soon as possible, thus ensuring practical benefits for cooperation in all areas.
Chen Bo also briefed Šarović on the general state of Chinese economy in 2017. Šarović expressed view that healthy development of Chinese economy is good news for the economic development of the world, including BiH.
